Maurice Bouchard

Artist, Caregiver & Creative Father | Watkinsville, GA

About

Maurice Bouchard is an artist, caregiver, and stay-at-home father based in Watkinsville, Georgia, whose journey blends creativity, compassion, and faith. A graduate of the University of Georgia and recipient of the UGA Charter Scholarship, Maurice has built a life around artistic exploration and service to others. Before focusing on his family and creative passions, Maurice worked in patient care roles across multiple healthcare environments, including Avery Place Memory Care, Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, and St. Mary’s Health Care System. These experiences deepened his empathy, discipline, and commitment to helping others—values that now inform both his art and his personal philosophy. As a multidisciplinary artist, Maurice finds joy in watercolor painting, 3D printing, and music, using creativity as both a spiritual practice and a means of reflection. A lifelong fan of sci-fi and fantasy, his inspirations range from Stargate SG-1 and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine to One Piece, Naruto, and the imaginative universes of Warhammer 40K. His work—whether artistic or caregiving—reflects the same underlying principle: a desire to build, nurture, and bring beauty and meaning into everyday life. Today, Maurice devotes much of his time to being a stay-at-home father while pursuing his creative interests. His art and faith remain central to his identity, shaping how he connects with his community and the world around him.
